Riftbound Counter: Aethos

Riftbound Tournament Tracker

Log each round after it ends. Aethos keeps your record and standings points, and tells you how the top cut looks from where you stand.

Register your Legend, deck and three battlefields once. Between rounds, add the result in a few taps. When the run is over, every round joins your match history and you get a card to share.

Tournament Mode in Aethos on iPad, mid-event at a Skirmish: a 2-0-1 record after three rounds, 7 Swiss points, Ekko registered with deck version 1 and three battlefields, Top 8 in sight at about 80 percent with the records that lock it, and the run round by round: Viktor 2-1, a bye, Annie 1-1
01 · RIFTBOUND TOURNAMENT MODE

Register once, log every round.

Above Casual level, Riftbound events keep the score in writing, and I would rather keep my phone in my pocket during a round anyway. So Tournament Mode is built for the minutes between rounds: you add what happened from memory, and it takes a few taps.

  • Setup, once. Your Legend, the deck you registered, your three battlefields, the number of Swiss rounds (3 to 18), the top cut (none, Top 4 or Top 8), and the player count if you know it. Event name and tier are optional.
  • Each round. The opponent's Legend, every game won or lost, the battlefields played and who went first. A note if you want one.
  • Byes and draws. A bye, a 0-0 draw when time is called, and an intentional draw each have their own entry.
  • The deck you registered. Picked at setup and fixed for the event. Each game can carry its MVP cards, and games 2 and 3 the cards you sided in and out.
  • Top cut rounds. After the last Swiss round, say whether you made the cut, then log each cut round (Top 8, Top 4, Finals) as it comes.
  • Fix a round. Edit a logged round, or take the last one back.
02 · STANDINGS POINTS AND TOP-CUT ODDS

Where you stand, after every round.

The hub shows your record and Swiss points, and a live read of the top cut. The odds come from a simulation of the rest of the event that uses your real results, the round count, the cut size and the field size, or an estimated field if you leave it blank.

3 · 1 · 0
Points for a match win, draw and loss; a bye counts as a win
Odds
Your chance of the cut: locked, in sight, on the bubble, must win out, or out of reach
Breakers

The Tournament Rules set the tiebreaker order but do not print point values. 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss is what event software uses, so Aethos counts the same way. The odds are an estimate from your own record, never an official standing.

03 · RIFTBOUND TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The run, kept with everything else.

Finish the run and it stops being a separate thing. The rounds become matches in your history and count toward your Legend, deck and rival records like any other match.

  • Into your history. Every played round is saved as a Bo3 match with its games, battlefields and who went first. A bye is a round in the event but not a match.
  • Into your deck's record. Every game is stamped with the deck version you registered. See the deck builder.
  • A recap card. Event, placement, record and every round, ready to post. Round notes and the decklist can be added to it, and both start switched off.
  • Records by event. The set mark keeps your record for each kind of event you played, from Nexus Nights to Regional Qualifiers.
The Vendetta set mark in Aethos at Epic, with a 56% win rate at 29-20-7, Master Yi as most played at 59% over 22 matches, Nexus Night at 11-6-3 and 60%, and Summoner Skirmish marked Champion at 8-3-2 and 67%
04 · RIFTBOUND TOURNAMENT RULES

What the rules say, and what Aethos leaves alone.

Aethos does not do pairings, registration, official standings or results. Those stay with the organiser's software. It is your own log of the event, and it follows the Tournament Rules dated 16 July 2026.

Bo3
First to two game wins; drawn games do not count (TR 404.2, 404.3)
Draw
Equal game wins at the end is a match draw (TR 404.5)
40 · 12 · 3
Main deck with champion, runes, unique battlefields, plus one Legend (TR 402.1)
60 min
Recommended Swiss round; on time, a lead of 2 or more wins the game (TR 604.1, 408.2)

Sideboards are up to 10 cards and none can come in for game 1 (TR 601.1.c.1, TR 403.5). Scores are tracked in writing, and an electronic device is allowed only at Casual level events (TR 415.3), which is why Tournament Mode is filled in between rounds. For keeping score in a casual game, use the score tracker or a score sheet.

Questions

Is there a Riftbound app for tournaments?

Yes. Riftbound Counter: Aethos has a Tournament Mode: register your Legend, deck and three battlefields once, log each round after it ends, and it keeps your record, standings points and live odds of making the top cut. It does not do pairings or registration; those stay with the organiser's software.

How are Riftbound tournament standings points counted?

A match win is 3 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0, and a bye counts as a win. The Tournament Rules do not print point values; 3, 1 and 0 is the convention event software uses, and Aethos follows it. Ties are broken by opponents' match win percentage, then game win percentage, then opponents' game win percentage (TR 409.2).

Can Aethos tell me if I will make the top cut?

It gives live odds, not a guarantee. From your record so far, the number of Swiss rounds, the cut size (Top 4 or Top 8) and the field size, or an estimate if you leave it blank, Riftbound Counter: Aethos simulates the rest of the event and shows your chance and whether the cut is locked, in sight, on the bubble, needs you to win out, or is out of reach.

Does Aethos do Riftbound tournament pairings or registration?

No. Pairings, registration, official standings and results stay with the organiser's event software. Riftbound Counter: Aethos is your own log of the event, entered round by round.

Can I use my phone to keep score at a Riftbound tournament?

It depends on the event level. The Tournament Rules ask for scores to be tracked in writing and allow an electronic device only at Casual level events (TR 415.3). That is why Tournament Mode in Riftbound Counter: Aethos logs each round after it ends instead of keeping the official score during play.

What are the Riftbound tournament rules for a match?

Most rounds are best of three: the first side to two game wins takes the match (TR 404.2). Drawn games do not count toward the two (TR 404.3), and equal game wins at the end is a match draw (TR 404.5). In a constructed event you register a 40 card main deck including your champion, one Legend, 12 runes and three battlefields with unique names (TR 402.1), plus a sideboard of up to 10 cards that cannot be used in game 1 (TR 601.1.c.1, TR 403.5). Swiss rounds are recommended at 60 minutes (TR 604.1).

Can I record which deck I played at a Riftbound tournament?

Yes. Pick the deck at setup in Riftbound Counter: Aethos and every game of the event is saved with that deck version, so the event counts toward that version's record. Each game can also carry its MVP cards, and games 2 and 3 what you sided in and out.

Does Aethos show Riftbound tournament results?

Only your own. When your run ends, Riftbound Counter: Aethos saves every played round to your match history and makes a recap card with the event, your placement, record and each round, with optional round notes and decklist. It does not show other players' results or event standings.

Is Tournament Mode free?

Yes. Tournament Mode in Riftbound Counter: Aethos is free, like all recording, with no ads. Finished rounds join your match history, where free keeps the latest 10 matches in full detail and the full chronicle opens everything older.
