The Bug Hunt

Official rules

  1. Organiser. The Bug Hunt is run by Ondřej Vodák, developer of Riftbound Counter: Aethos ("Aethos"). Apple, Google and Riot Games do not sponsor, endorse or run it and are not involved in any way.
  2. Dates. From 19 Oct 2026, the day the app update with the Bug Hunt starts reaching players, to 1 Nov 2026 at 23:59 Prague time (CET, UTC+1).
  3. Who can enter. Anyone with Aethos on iPhone or Android. No purchase necessary: free and paid users enter the same way and have the same chance. One name per person.
  4. How to enter. Report bugs with the report button in the app. A bug is something in the app that does not work as it should. Ideas, wishes and price or card data corrections are welcome but do not score.
  5. Points. Each report confirmed by the organiser as a real, new bug scores 1 point, or 2 points if it is in Collection or the deck builder. If several people report the same bug, only the first report scores; saying "me too" on Workbench does not score. Only reports sent during the dates above score. The organiser's decision on every report is final.
  6. Winners. The two players with the most points at the end win. A tie goes to the player who reached that score first.
  7. Prize. Each winner gets Aethos Lifetime (the one-time premium purchase) on the platform they choose, delivered as a code shown inside their Bug Hunt page in the app within 7 days of the end. The prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
  8. Fair play. Inventing bugs, splitting one bug into many reports, using several names, or abusive names or text gets reports removed or a player taken off the board.
  9. What is public. Your chosen name, your points, the one-line titles of your reports and their status. What you write in a report's details, and your device, stay private and are used only to fix the app.
  10. Reaching winners. You can leave an email address or Discord name in the app. It is optional and private, used only to reach you if you win, and deleted by 30 November 2026. Without one, your prize code still appears on your Bug Hunt page in the app, and winners are announced on the board.
  11. Changes. The organiser may end or change the Bug Hunt if something outside their control makes it unfair, and will say so on this page.
